Navigate to Superchargers to Precondition
If you set a Supercharger (or other DC fast charger) as your destination, the car gets the memo and starts warming—or cooling—the battery so it can gulp electrons when you plug in. Skip this in winter and you’ll be standing in the snow wondering why it’s charging at 50 kW.
What to do
Open the map, pick a Supercharger as your destination (or search “Supercharger”). The car will show “Preparing battery for fast charging” and do the work while you drive. Show up with a warm battery and charge in 20 minutes instead of 45.
Long trips
Use the in-car trip planner or Energy app. It’ll route you through Superchargers and precondition automatically. Yes, the car is smarter than your uncle’s Garmin.
